When you change routers or your WiFi network, you'll need to reconnect your Sonos system to be able to use it. This will teach you how to update the WiFi settings on your Sonos system using the mobile app on Android and iOS.
1Open Sonos on your Android or iOS. This app icon is black with"Sonos"in white text that you'll find on one of your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching.
The process for this is similar if you're using Android or iOS.
2Connect your Sonos player to your WiFi router via ethernet cable. Your router should have come with a cable that you'll use to connect your player and router.
3Tap the Settings tab. You'll see this with a gear icon in the lower right corner of your screen.
4Tap System. This is usually the second listing in the menu next to an icon of a house.
5Tap Network. It's near the bottom of the menu.
6Tap Wireless Setup. This is usually the first listing in the menu next to a gear icon.
7Tap Continue. The app will begin looking for available WiFi networks that it can connect to including all 2.4GHz networks.
8Select your network and tap Use this network. The app will try to connect to your network. If your phone or tablet is already connected, the app shouldn't ask for a password.
9Tap Done. Once you see the confirmation that Sonos is set up on the network, tap Done in the top right corner of your screen. You can also unhook the Sonos player from the ethernet connection to your WiFi router.
If you're running into issues making the connection, make sure the ethernet cable is completely plugged in. You can also try using a different cable to make sure you don't have a faulty one.
